CHEYENNE “REFUGEE” HOUSE
What will we do with the Cheyenne House? Our second tenant needed to move out so the session spent months discerning whether to sell it, rent it or continue to use it for ministry. Around this time a representative from a sister church shared how they were using a house to welcome refugee families. This was the spark that ignited considerable discussion and prayer which finally led to session’s decision to partner with World Relief to use the house as a temporary home for newly arrived well-vetted refugee families.
The Al Saadi family of seven moved in on February 1st. They have been an incredible delight to host and have as neighbors revealing to us through offers of tea and nan what hospitality looks like. Keep us, the Al Saadi family as well as the millions of people across the globe who have been forced to flee their homeland.
